DISTANCES SHOWN ARE FROM START OF ROUTE (ILFORD FACTORY)

From MOBBERLEY (Ilford Factory) travel along TOWN LANE toward WILMSLOW, after 1.36m, turn right into FAULKNERS LANE, passing the Frozen Mop public house on your right.
Turn left into ANCOATS LANE. 2.09m, signpost, CHELFORD/ALDERLEY, proceed till reaching T-junction, 3.17m, turn right into MERRIMANS LANE, signpost, CHELFORD/MACCLESFIELD.
Follow signpost, ALDERLEY EDGE,look for blue sign CHESHIRE CYCLEWAY, travel till T-junction 4.00m, turn right onto A535, signpost, CHELFORD/HOLMES CHAPEL.
Ride for 300 metres, turn left into SOSSMOSS LANE, look for blue sign CHESHIRE CYCLEWAY. Follow this road (over Railway Bridge); turn right into SAND LANE (after Railway Bridge), 5.00m, carry on till A34.
Turn right onto A34, look out for NETHER ALDERLEY MILL, immediately on your left (Elizabethan water powered corn mill). Proceed along A34 toward CONGLETON till you reach traffic lights at MONKS HEATH, 6.92m, turn left, signpost A537 MACCLESFIELD.
travel toward MACCLESFIELD till you see signpost PEXHILL, 7.70m, turn right here, short STEEP hill, but not too bad.
Proceed till reaching T-junction, 8.65m, turn right, signpost, SIDDINGTON.
Follow this narrow twisting road until you reach REDES MERE (see picture) 10.19m.
This is a nice place to stop if you want to. Views across the mere, and plenty of wild fowl to see.

Travel a short distance to reach A34, turn left, signpost, CONGLETON. proceed along A34 turning right at first junction, signpost, HOLMES CHAPEL/LOWER WITHINGTON B5392. Follow this road through SIDDINGTON and LOWER WITHINGTON, following signs for HOLMES CHAPEL, ignoring any signs for CHESHIRE CYCLEWAY from now on, carry on till you reach junction with A535, 13.90m.
Turn left toward HOLMES CHAPEL, you will now have a good view of JODRELL BANK RADIO TELESCOPE (see picture) on your right.
Follow A535 to HOLMES CHAPEL, passing large railway viaduct on your right, road climbs here.
At HOLMES CHAPEL 17.35m, turn right at mini roundabout, toward KNUTSFORD, A50.
Follow A50, nearing KNUTSFORD, after passing TOFT PARISH CHURCH, look for sign BOOTHS HALL, 24.43m, turn right into GOUGHS LANE, (telephone box), travel for 300 metres, turn left into LEGH ROAD.
Continue along this road until you reach junction with CHELFORD ROAD, Legh Arms public house, follow sigpost for MOBBERLEY,this will take you to MOBBERLEY (Ilford Factory)27.40m.
