DISTANCES SHOWN ARE FROM START OF ROUTE (ILFORD FACTORY)
From Mobberley (Ilford Factory) travel along TOWN LANE toward WILMSLOW, turn into CHURCH LANE, 0.70m, passing MOBBERLEY CHURCH on your left, the Church Inn is on your right (see picture).
Turn onto HOBCROFT LANE, at the junction with LADY LANE, 1.38m, follow signpost for ASHLEY, travel along HOBCROFT LANE, look on your right, to see large house, home of famous mountaineer George Mallory, whose body was found near the top of Mount Everest. Also on the right you can see the end of Runway 2 under construction and views accross to MANCHESTER AIRPORT and beyond.
Keep on this road following signs for ASHLEY/ALTRINCHAM. At crossroads at ASHLEY (the Greyhound public house), 4.40m, turn left into ASHLEY ROAD, signpost ROSTHERNE/MERE, travel toward TATTON PARK, passing ASHLEY RAILWAY STATION.
Keep on this road till TATTON PARK, ROSTHERNE entrance, 6.53m, turn left into TATTON PARK, (entrance free to cyclists, closed Mondays during the winter).
After reaching the KNUTSFORD entrance, 9.08m, ride into KNUTSFORD town centre, leaving the town by TOFT ROAD (A50 signpost STOKE on TRENT) toward HOLMES CHAPEL. Keep on TOFT ROAD untill reaching SEVEN SISTERS LANE, 11.33m, turn left into SEVEN SISTERS LANE, signpost OLLERTON, and travel till reaching OLLERTON crossroads, 12.58m.
Proceed across (check both ways, traffic moves fast along here) into MARTHALL LANE toward WARFORD, follow signs for MOBBERLEY.
At junction with PINFOLD LANE, 13.83m, follow PEDLEY LANE (good name for a cycle route), signpost MOBBERLEY/WILMSLOW.
At junction with ANCOATS LANE, 14.65m, turn onto FAULKNERS LANE, passing The Frozen Mop public house on your left.
At the junction with HALL LANE, 15.38m, turn left, proceed toward MOBBERLEY to reach (Ilford Factory), 16.68m.
